• The Association: shall mean ‘The Surgical 
  Instrument Manufactures Association of Pakistan.

• Member: shall Include any individual, firm, company, or body of individual, whether incorporated or not, engaged in the
  manufacture & export of surgical instruments.

• The Registered Office: of the Association is situated at Kutchery Road, Sialkot Pakistan.

• General Meeting: mean the general meeting of the
  Association.

• Special General Meeting: shall mean and include extraordinary General Meeting under the Companies Ordinance, 1984.

• Chairman: means the Chairman of the Association.

• Senior Vice Chairman: mean the Senior Vice Chairman of the Association.

• Vice Chairman: means Vice Chairman of the Association.

• Secretary: means the Secretary of the Association who shall be whole time paid employee of the Association.

• Office Bearers: mean and include the Chairman, the Senior Vice Chairman the Vice Chairman.

• Executive Committee/Managing Committee: shall consist the Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman and the member of the Executive Committee of the Association, duly elected by the members of the Association.

• General Body: shall mean the General Body of the Association comprising all members of the Association.

• Committee Meeting: means a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association duly elected and constituted by the member of the Association.

• Office: means the Registered Office of the  Association.

• Service Rules:  mean the Service Rules framed by the Executive  Committee of the Association.

• Class of Membership: There is only one class of
  membership in the surgical instrument Manufacturers
  Association of Pakistan because it exclusively represents
  Surgical Industry on all Pakistan basis.
