Interim Relief of 1% to Exporters of Medical Instruments

Important Notice

 

Government of Pakistan in Trade Policy 2009-10 has decided to give interim relief to the exporters of Surgical Medical/ Veterinary and Beauty care instruments at the rate of 1% on export made from July 01 2009 to June 30, 2010. The exporters may kindly provide their export duly attested from their banks and submit to the Surgical Association to forward the same to Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) for refund of additional duty drawback. The Surgical Association will charge the process fee of Rs. 2000/- on each application.

 

Please follow the performa given below and make the same columns on your company's letter head (verified by concerned Bank) for applying 1% releif for interim relief.

Note:

1. The above mentioned 01% relief is only applicable on FOB relealized amount of those shipments that are sent within the prescrribed period of 01-07-2009 to 30-06-2010.

2. Attested photocopies of PRCs from the relevant Bank(s) should be attached.

3. A Table given below should be made on company's letter head and filled according to the company's data then attested by relevant bank(s).

ELECTION PROGRAMME 2010-2011

 

01-07-2010 - Thursday

Display and circulation of election Notice/schedule.

 

07-07-2010 - Wednesday

Display of list of all members eligible to vote.

 

10-07-2010 – Saturday

Receipt of changes by the Secretary General, if any, regarding names of representatives appearing in the list of voters along with necessary proof of eligibility.

 

13-07-2010 – Tuesday

Receipt of objections by the Secretary General, if any, in writing to the entries/changes in the list of voters.

 

15-07-2010 – Thursday

Intimation by the Secretary General of the action on the objections of changes sent by the members.

 

17-07-2010 – Saturday

Reference to the Election Commission by any person aggrieved by the decision of the Secretary General pertaining to the dispute on the eligibility of the members.

 

20-07-2010 – Tuesday

Decision of the Election Commission on the above references. Member desirous to contest the Election 2010-11may obtain the nomination paper from Secretary General as follows:

(a)  Authorized representative of the firm/company can obtain the nomination paper in person by signing on the nomination paper issue register in Simap.

(b)  Nomination paper can also be obtained through a bearer having letter of authority on the firm/company letter head duly signed by the authorized representative of the firm/company in Simap.

 

23-07-2010 – Friday

Reference to the Director General T.O. by any person aggrieved by the decision of the Election Commission pertaining to the dispute on the eligibility of a member.

 

02-08-2010 – Monday

Decision of the Director General, T.O on the above reference.

 

03-08-2010 – Tuesday

Provision of final list of voters to the candidates contesting the election after the decision of the Director General T.O and changes if any, otherwise, allowed by the Secretary General/Election Commission

 

 06-08-2010 – Friday

Last date of receipt of nomination papers by the Secretary General accompanied by a written consent of the candidate concerned duly endorsed by any Director/Partner of his company/firm.

 

07-08-2010 –Saturday

Scrutiny of nomination papers, circulation by the Secretary General the list of nominees whose nomination papers have been declared valid. Issuance of final voters list

 

09-08-2010 – Monday

Filling of objections if any to the nomination of candidates to the Elections Commission.

 

11-08-2010 – Wednesday

Decision of the Election Commission on the objections raised.

 

16-08-2010 – Monday

Reference to the Director General, T.O. by any person aggrieved by the decision of the Election Commission pertaining to the nomination papers.

 

23-08-2010 – Monday

Decision of Director General T.O on the above references.

 

24-08-2010 – Tuesday

Last date of withdrawal of nomination papers.

 

25-08-2010 – Wednesday

Issuance/display of final list of candidates for the election.

 

27-08-2010 – Friday

Polling for Executive Body members at the Registered Office of the Association.

Communication of the results to the successful candidates.

Last date for receipt of nomination papers by the Secretary General for the Election of the offices of Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman up till 1600 hours.

Scrutiny of the nomination papers for the office of Chairman, Senior Vice Chair and Vice Chairman and display of final list of candidates.

 

02-09-2010 – Thursday

Election for the office of Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Association.

 

30-09-2010 – Thursday

Formal announcement of the results of the elections at the Annual General Meeting of the members at he Surgical Association office, Sublime Chowk, Marala Road, Sialkot.

 

Streamlining of Duty Drawback (Rebate) and Drawal of Export Samples Procedures

Worthy members are informed that to facilitate the exporters, the Collectorate of Customs, Sambrial Sialkot has taken steps to streamline and expedite the duty drawback payments and drawal of export samples procedures.  The duty draw back claims will now be received at G.P.O, SIalkot from 0900 hours to 1400 hours and forwarded to the Customs office on the same day. After completion the necessary working, the Customs office will issue the cheques on the next day. Like that the procedure of drawal of samples has been expedited.

Worthy members are informed that SIMAP has received a copy of requirements for business visa of Argentine from Embassy of Argentine in Islamabad. Interested members can collect the copy of said business visa requirements.
